Emily Brown MD

​Dr. Brown joined Vanderbilt in 2020 as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in Internal Medicine, serving as a primary care physician, with a clinical interest in diabetes and obesity management. She joined Health Plus as Medical Director in January 2022. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, having completed her medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine on a Health Professions Scholarship with the United States Navy. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She separated from active duty at Naval Hospital Pensacola in 2020, after achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander, and serving in a multitude of executive leadership roles focusing on healthcare operations and process improvement.
