Research has shown health promotion programs can help reduce absenteeism, health care costs, short-term disability utilization, and workers' compensation costs and claims; increase worker productivity; improve presenteeism; and promote recruitment and retention.
Health Plus has been awarded the C. Everett Koop National Health Award, the Gold and Platinum Fit-Friendly Awards given by the American Heart Association, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine's Corporate Health Achievement Award (along with the other Health and Wellness programs), the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health Shining Star Award, Mayor's Workplace Challenge - Health Gold, and the National Business Group on Health's 2015 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles Gold Award (along with other Health and Wellness programs).

There are no costs for Health Plus programs and services, as they are provided as a benefit.
