Derek Spath, MD

Assistant Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery

Dr. Derek H. Spath is a Comprehensive Otolaryngologist. He earned undergraduate degrees in Biomedical Sciences and Spanish from the University at Buffalo, where he also completed medical school. He went on to complete residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas.

Throughout training, Dr. Spath cultivated a love for teaching medical students and residents in addition to providing excellent medical and surgical care.

In his practice at Vanderbilt, Dr. Spath cares for patients of all ages and is passionate about the wide breadth of ENT disorders. He continues to grow in his teaching and mentoring role as the primary supervising physician for the resident-run Otolaryngology clinic at Vanderbilt’s main campus.
