The Cleft & Velopharyngeal Dysfunction Interactive Conference focuses on the needs of physician learners, and is designed to be inclusive of the entire multidisciplinary team that participates in the care of children with cleft lip and palate, as well as other craniofacial disorders.

This conference serves an ongoing need for up-to-date education, especially focused on the following:

  • Evaluation of the cleft lip and palate defect
  • Evaluation of findings in patients with VPI
  • Development of surgical plans to optimize function
  • The role of multidisciplinary care in orthodontics and speech

Utilizing didactic lectures, Q&As, panel discussions, and breakout sessions, course faculty will moderate all content with a mutual underlying goal to foster excellence in comprehensive cleft care in our communities.
