Acceptable Resuscitation Training

According to the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Policy of Vanderbilt University Medical Center, acceptable agencies for resuscitation training are as follows:

  • American Heart Association - Accepted for BLS/CPR training, as well as ACLS, PALS, and PEARS
  • American Red Cross - Accepted for BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS training
  • Military Training Network - Accepted for all BLS/CPR training as well as ACLS, PALS, and PEARS

Cards NOT accepted include American Health and Safety Institute, ACLS Certification Institute, PALS Certification Institute, International CPR Institute, ProCPR, National HealthCare Provider Solutions, or any other cards than the ones listed below. The statement "taught according to AHA guidelines" or some variation of the statement does not make the card acceptable.
