Hello and welcome to Surgical Services!
The Surgical Services team is led by Lori Martin, MBA, BSN, RN, RT (R), Senior Director, and Betsy
Swoner, RN, Assistant Director.
Our department encompasses several specialty areas including Pre-Admission Testing, Infusion Center, Endoscopy, Same Day Surgery, and Operating Room.
The environment on our units is friendly, patient-centered, and collaborative with other members of the interdisciplinary team.
One of the benefits of working in this surgical environment is the operating hours, which allow staff to maintain a healthy work-life balance. There are numerous opportunities for engagement in quality improvement and professional development.
Our staff’s success is due to their commitment to our patients and the community. Our staff have
extensive knowledge and expertise; we deliver compassionate care.
We orient new team members to our unit by using preceptorship experience to provide each person a safe space for learning. In addition, we have a perioperative educator, Debbie Weston, RN, CNOR who assists our new hires in their journey of transitioning to a new role and career goals.
