Hello and welcome to my department!
I’m Valencia McGee, MSN, RN, Manager for the Adult Float Pool Team at Vanderbilt University Hospital.
The environment with our team is collaborative, supportive, and highly communicative.
We care for adult patients across the Vanderbilt Adult Hospital who are being treated for various medical conditions.
One of the perks of working in the VUH Float Pool is that you’ll never be bored! Staff develops a broad skill set by experiencing a diverse and ever-changing patient population.
Our nurses are successful because they are flexible, adapt to a variety of patient care settings, and are highly resourceful.
We orient new nurses to our team by providing a thorough orientation to select medical-surgical and step-down units.
We encourage professional growth.
