The staff of the Hepatobiliary Surgery Service frequently conduct operations for procurement of organs for transplantation. This is an excellent educational opportunity, both to learn about the subject of organ donation and transplantation, as well as to observe some spectacular anatomic dissections. Medical student participation is welcome.
If you are interested in this option, please let someone in the Surgery Education Office know your name and beeper number. The Chief Resident in the Hepatobiliary Service will be informed and will page you when it is your turn to go on a procurement run.
