The QSRP Central Safety Team supports VUMC’s efforts to improve patient safety and quality of care. Our team supports global health system initiatives solely and in partnership with multiple disciplines across the health system which includes but is not limited to:
Facilitating teams through the event analysis process (root cause analysis)and case reviews by helping identify causal factors and creating action plans to prevent future recurrence; assist departmental teams with service line reviews which help identify patient safety and process improvement opportunities; support accreditation and standards with Joint Commission surveys.
