Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is committed to engaging our future colleagues in clinical experiences which will help shape them into competent and capable perioperative healthcare professionals as well as outreach to future students in programs which prepare them for work in the perioperative field.
Our organization has established several programs, including the Preceptor Program and the Student Placement Program (SharePoint), to both coordinate and provide resources to our mentors to facilitate this mission.
Students who complete a clinical rotation at VUMC fulfill requirements as laid out by their Clinical Coordinator. Those requirements are outlined by Student Placement and often include providing records (immunization records) and completing student orientation courses.
Applying for Employment
Many of the students/residents that we facilitate in clinicals return to work here! When you are ready to apply, visit our Careers site to apply for Allied Health positions or the Nurse Residency. Physician positions are available through contacting a recruiter directly, and of course we have experienced Nurse positions as well.
