Welcome to VHBM! We are located on Highway 100, in the west side of Nashville. Our facility specializes in the care of orthopedic patients, whether one needs a total joint replacement or a scope procedure, as well as urology procedures (especially kidney stone and BPH surgery). We also do some smaller gynecologic and neurosurgery procedures.
Patients choose Vanderbilt for our experienced physicians, top-of-the-line facilities, and personalized services. We care for adult patients who need treatment and management of elective, urgent, and emergent care for:
- Hip or knee replacement
- Foot and ankle procedures
- Hand and upper extremity
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia surgery
- Kidney stone procedures including extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy

We orient new nurses to our unit by providing an extensive, specialized orientation period. The length of orientation is dependent upon the learning style and speed of the orientee.
