Welcome

Welcome to Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD). The VUMC ANCC Accredited Provider Unit will help guide you through the process of planning and executing an NCPD event to provide American Nurse's Credentialing Center (ANCC) credit, also known as contact hours, to the Vanderbilt Nursing Community. We have compiled information to steer you through the entire process from eligibility requirements, writing learning outcomes, planning your event, to completing the appropriate documents.

Goal

It is our goal to facilitate the advancement of nursing practice through the dissemination of knowledge through continuing education programs with contact hours that meet the criteria set forth by the ANCC. We also aim to support nurses to maintain and improve knowledge and skills of professional practice and provide professional development activities that meet nurses' educational needs in alignment with organizational goals and priorities. For additional questions, please contact us at contacthours@vumc.org.
