Nikhil Majeti

MS Student, Applied Clinical Informatics

Fall 2026

I recently graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Management Information Systems. Throughout my undergraduate education, I sought opportunities to combine biological research with data science and technology. At Stanford University's Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC), I worked as a data analyst on health services research projects using Python and R to analyze large healthcare datasets, develop data quality pipelines, and create visualizations for publication. During a previous summer at Stanford, I also completed research in the Nakauchi Lab, where I gained experience with molecular biology techniques including stem cell culture, PCR, and gene sequencing. Most recently, I interned with Lightspeed Venture Partners, where I explored the intersection of biotechnology, AI, and healthcare innovation through venture capital. These experiences showed me how data can improve clinical decision-making, research, and healthcare delivery, motivating me to pursue clinical informatics. Through the MS-ACI program, I hope to strengthen my knowledge of machine learning, healthcare data systems, and AI implementation while learning from classmates with diverse clinical and technical backgrounds. Long-term, I hope to build technologies that improve patient care and healthcare operations while contributing to innovation in digital health and biotechnology.
