Mark Naguib, MD
Fall 2026
I’m a Pediatric Cardiology Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. I grew up in Egypt but have called Nashville home for over 15 years. I spent my undergraduate years at Lipscomb University, where I studied Molecular Biology and Philosophy, followed by Medical School and Pediatrics Residency at Vanderbilt. Before beginning fellowship, I worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist in a community hospital in the Middle Tennessee area. My clinical experiences have been complemented by training in medical ethics, global health, utilization management, and clinical informatics, including certification as an Epic Physician Builder. My primary interests lie at the intersection of clinical care, healthcare operations, and technology. Through my work in utilization management, I have become particularly interested in how thoughtfully designed data analytics and electronic health record tools can improve efficiency and patient outcomes. I also have research interests in pediatric congenital heart disease, biomarkers, and the use of clinical data to better understand disease progression and guide treatment.
