Marc Maldaver, MD

MS Student, Applied Clinical Informatics

Fall 2026

I am from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I completed my undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and earned dual bachelor's degrees in Human Biology and Finance. Afterwards, I stayed at Michigan State to complete medical school within the College of Human Medicine. During my undergraduate years, I worked in a bioinformatics research lab applying natural language processing to label large-scale genomics data. I then independently applied these skills on projects while working for the Michigan Center for Rural Health. Most recently, I completed internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Going forward, I am interested in operationally improving healthcare delivery to make it safer, equitable, and more efficient. I am hoping to learn the skills necessary to execute on this mission during my current training.
