Medical Center email via Outlook Exchange or Outlook Web Access (OWA) is an excellent way to communicate business needs both within and outside of the enterprise. Accessing email via the internet further simplifies communication by eliminating the need to install or configure email software on each machine that a user accesses. Easily access email from virtually any computer that has a web browser and an internet connection from anywhere in the world in a secure manner.
VUMC’s enterprise email messaging system provides email, calendaring and contact management. For administrative workstations Outlook is available. For clinical workstations Outlook Web Access (OWA) is available.
Beware of phishing scams! VUMC IT will never send you an email asking for your login credentials.
How do I get a VUMC email account?
All new employees of the Medical Center are issued an email address before their first day. New employees use their email address and the AccessVU site to claim their identity within the VUMC system.
VUMC email accounts for staff expire the last day of employment.
VUMC email accounts for faculty expire four months from the last day of employment.
