Rebecca Weiner

PhD Student

Rebecca Weiner is a pharmacology PhD student under the mentorship of Dr. Timothy Hohman at the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer's Center's Computational Neurogenomics Team. She earned her bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology, and Psychology from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Rebecca’s research is focused on the role of chemokines in Alzheimer’s disease. Specifically, she is interested in how PROK1, a member of the prokineticin gene family, modifies the association between Alzheimer’s disease pathology and neurotoxicity.
