Research Coordinator II
Marissa Moore is a Clinical Translational Research Coordinator II at the Vanderbilt Memory & Alzheimer’s Center. She received a Master of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in May of 2018, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in May of 2017. During her graduate career, Marissa worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the upper-level anatomy and physiology classes at UAH. Marissa completed her thesis for her master’s degree on the rare disorder tyrosinemia type I, which involved investigating the neurocognitive problems recently observed in children with the disorder by using neurobehavioral tests for mice.
In her free time, Marissa enjoys painting and going hiking with her dog. She is looking forward to seeing great live music and trying all of the amazing food in Nashville!
