Elizabeth Moore, PhD

MD/PhD Student

Elizabeth Moore is a student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at Vanderbilt University. After joining the Vanderbilt Memory and Alzheimer's Center in 2018, She earned her PhD in neuroscience in 2021 under Dr. Jefferson's mentorship and will return to medical school to finish her training. Dr. Moore will continue to build her research portfolio, which focuses on using imaging modalities to study the relationship between cardiovascular variables, brain pathology, and cognitive outcomes. Specifically, her thesis work investigated the effects of AD pathology and vascular disease on white matter integrity.

Dr. Moore earned her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from the University of South Carolina in 2016.
