Know the Signs & Symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease

Some change in cognitive ability is normal as we age. The Alzheimer's Association identifies 10 signs that may indicate the presence of Alzheimer's disease when they are severe enough to interfere with daily life: 

  • Memory loss that disrupts daily life
  • Problems with words
  • Difficulty planning or problem solving
  • Misplacing things or inability to retrace steps
  • Difficulty with familiar tasks
  • Decreasing or poor judgement
  • Getting confused with times/places
  • Withdrawal
  • Trouble with visual/spatial relationships
  • Mood/Personality changes
