Hannah J. Harmsen, MD

Dr. Hannah Harmsen is a board-certified neuropathologist and an Assistant Professor of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Harmsen’s interests focus on the characterization of neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease, and in the role microvascular disease plays in neurodegenerative disorders.

Dr. Harmsen completed medical school at Wayne State University as well as an anatomic and clinical pathology residency and neuropathology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2020.
