Jackson Appelt

Jackson is a third-year medical student at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a member of the Medical Innovator Development Program (MIDP). Before medical school, he studied biology and physics at the University of Virginia, graduating in 2021, and spent three years in molecular cancer research. Working with Dr. Jonathan Schoenecker, his research focuses on the trauma and acute-phase response, musculoskeletal oncology, and the bone microenvironment.
