Caregivers and Parents of Preschoolers who Stutter

This study is designed to better develop our understanding of the role of parents (and other primary caregivers) of young children who stutter. Although we know that parents do not cause stuttering, there are many unknowns about possible connections between child stuttering and parent characteristics. This study aims to understand many parent-oriented features, such as parenting confidence, resilience, temperament, and responses to stuttering. We also look at interactions between parents and their children who stutter, and parent interview responses, for information that could help improve parent-led stuttering therapy.  Contact Ryan Millager (ryan.a.millager@vanderbilt.edu) with any questions about this study!
