Preceptor Program

Preceptors play an integral role in onboarding our newest Health Care Professionals. Research shows that strong preceptors are an essential component in adapting to new work environments, competency development, and job satisfaction.

The Preceptor Treasures program focuses on excavating the hidden talents of experienced nurses through workshops and support. VUMC professionals who are interested in becoming a preceptor, or refreshing precepting skills, can participate in the Preceptor Program, which has a variety of options throughout the year.

Targeted for Health Care Professionals who are or will be in the Preceptor role, with or without Preceptor experience; elective programming for VUMC Staff
