Education & Orientation

Our Core Mission

The core mission of the Perioperative Learning Center is to support the educational needs of all staff within Perioperative Services by providing educational resources, expertise, and professional development opportunities to support an environment of informed, well-trained health care practitioners.

The first mission (service) is to support our most valuable assets: our health care professionals. The second mission (teaching) is to support all employees in their professional development in educational scholarship. This is accomplished by skill development as well as providing the tools for successful mission accomplishment. Through our missions of service and teaching, our goal is to ensure that our health care providers are equipped to deliver safe patient care.
