A Community Effort to Fight the Prescription Drug Abuse Epidemic

Count It! Lock It! Drop It! is a comprehensive prescription drug abuse initiative with the goals of reducing access to and increasing the perception of harm around prescription drugs. This training is aimed at assisting communities with program implementation and developing a strategic plan that works best for their organization and county. Also, each leader will have the opportunity to speak on specific drug related situations and then openly discuss the issues with their peers.

CDC Public Health Grand Rounds: Primary Prevention and Public Health Strategies to Prevent Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome

In this session of Public Health Grand Rounds, you will hear how CDC is working with state and local partners to develop better policies for opioid prescribing among pregnant women. You will also hear how providers and patients can work together to prevent NAS by learning more about the choices that they make.
