Flulapalooza®

FlulapaloozaThis is a Vanderbilt University Medical Center annual event providing flu vaccination to faculty and staff at no charge.

Flulapalooza® XI will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 6 am to 6 pm in the tent behind Light Hall.

The following flu vaccines will be offered at Flulapalooza®

Regular Quadrivalent Inactivated Vaccine (QIV)1 Anyone over 6 months old
Egg-free vaccine2 People with previous allergic reaction to the flu vaccine
65 or older vaccine (Quadrivalent inactivated)3 ​People age 65 and older


1Most of our QIV is latex-free and thimerosal-free.

2A cell-based flu shot (Flucelvax Quadrivalent) containing virus grown in cell culture, which is approved for people 6 months and older. This vaccine is completely egg-free.

3An egg-based adjuvanted flu shot (Fluad Quadrivalent), which is approved for people 65 years and older. This vaccine is made with an adjuvant (an ingredient that helps create a stronger immune response).

TIPS:

  • Wear short sleeves or have sleeves rolled up
  • Don’t forget your Vanderbilt University or Vanderbilt University Medical Center ID badge
  • Stagger staff participation
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the tent.
