NASHVILLE, TN (July 23, 2013) – Visitation Hospital Foundation invites the community to join them for dinner and a movie to celebrate Christmas in August at the Belcourt Theater, Nashville.  The theater will feature the classic film “A Christmas Story” on Tuesday, August 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., sponsored by A-1 Appliance of Nashville.

“This is an opportunity for families to come for a fun after-school event, have dinner and enjoy the performance, yet still get home early for homework,” said Fran Rajotte, associate director of Visitation Hospital Foundation. “Young and old alike enjoy this Christmas classic each year and we thought it might be fun to offer it during the dog days of August as a reprieve from the hot weather.”

The cost to attend is $30.00 per adult and $15.00 per child 12 and under, with a maximum of $100.00 per family of 6-10 people.  Dinner will be provided by Whole Foods Market in Green Hills, and proceeds will benefit Visitation Hospital Foundation and its work to provide health care and health education for the people of southwest Haiti.

“Eighty-five to ninety percent of the funds we raise go directly to operate the Visitation Clinic in Haiti.  Since the clinic opened in January 2008, we have treated well over 85,000 patient cases in a previously underserved rural area of 311,000 people.  In addition, we offer an array of community health education classes, water purification and agriculture,” Rajotte added.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.belcourt.org or at the box office.  The theater is located at 2102 Belcourt Avenue, off of 21st Avenue South.  For more information contact Fran Rajotte at 615-673-3501 or visitationhf@aol.com
