Dr. Blackford is a developmental psychologist.

She is interested in understanding how temperament and personality shape psychosis.

Dr. Jennifer Blackford has been a member of the faculty since 1999. In 2006, she began her independent research career and is a member of the Psychiatric Neuroimaging Program. She uses fMRI and genetics methods to understand how temperament confers risk for anxiety, depression and psychosis.

Research Description

Neural and genetic substrates of temperament; temperamental risk for psychiatric disease; fmri; amygdala; serotonin; simulation studies of novel statistical methods.
