Team

The Center for Improving the Public's Health through Informatics (CIPHI) consists of faculty, staff, trainees and collaborators who conduct population-based informatics research across multiple disciplines under informatics. These disciplines include biomedical informatics, public health, artificial intelligence, population surveillance and more.

The CIPHI collaborates with groups across Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC), including its parent department of Biomedical Informatics, the Department of Health Policy, the Vanderbilt Institute for Medicine and Public Health and more. CIPHI also has strong affiliations with institutions outside of VUMC, including the Veterans Affairs (VA) Tennessee Valley Healthcare System and the Middle Tennessee Research Institute (MTRI).

Our faculty members include VUMC researchers, clinicians and trainees, who may have primary or secondary appointments in other academic departments across the institution. Our staff include application developers, data analysts and project managers. View our list of team members by clicking the links on the right-hand side of the page.
