Ms. Gentry has been in nursing for 48 years, and completed training her RN at Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, her BSN at Vanderbilt University, her MSN at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.  She has had experience in Staff Nursing in the Operating Room and clinical areas at several hospitals, Nursing Education in five BSN Schools of Nursing, Administrative Nursing, Acute Pain Service at Duke University Medical Center and, most recently, in Quality Assurance Nursing performing chart reviews of surgical patients at TVHS with the VASQIP program.

Her current responsibilities are as a Clinical Nurse Annotator working with research groups on study of Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning tools.  She also assists with the annotation of medical records as well development of guidelines for current projects.
