Vanderbilt University Medical Center formed the Center for Improving the Public’s Health Using Informatics (CIPHI, pronounced “Sci Fi”) in 2019, directed by Michael Matheny, MD, MS, MPH.
The Center, which resides within the Department of Biomedical Informatics, focuses on observational data science and leveraging real-world data to produce real-world evidence for a spectrum of biomedical informatics needs and services.
