Shana Alford Price, BBA, MPP

Director of Evaluation

Ms. Shana Price is an experienced public health research professional. Before arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, she worked at national and local nonprofit organizations developing and implementing research and evaluation strategies, and data collection and reporting tools and processes. She also led program evaluation training at national conferences, and in other educational settings. Furthermore, she has partnered with academic researchers to conduct community-based and national research studies on topics such as food insecurity, food as medicine, patient chronic disease management, and behavioral health.

Currently, Ms. Price is the Director of Evaluation for VUMC’s Office of Community Health and Engagement (OCHE). She is collaborating with the Office to design and implement a robust evaluation & measurement plan, to develop a comprehensive framework describing the Office’s role and impact in community health, and to administer tools and facilitate processes for collecting and analyzing data metrics. Furthermore, she is conducting program evaluations for key initiatives led by OCHE partners that involve VUMC learners, faculty, and trainees.
