Dr. Logan C. Dumitrescu is a computational geneticist and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Dumitrescu’s research interests focus on the molecular and genetic factors that contribute to risk and resilience from Alzheimer’s disease. Specifically, she leverages advanced statistical approaches to identify novel treatment targets for Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Dumitrescu is a collaborator with the Vanderbilt Memory and Aging Project, VMAC's Computational Neurogenomics Team, and an investigator in the Vanderbilt Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.  

Dr. Dumitrescu completed a master’s degree in applied statistics, a doctoral degree in human genetics, and a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University. She joined the Vanderbilt faculty in 2016.
