Overview of Programs

CPiAH offers three types of certificate programs: institutionally accredited, workforce, and tuition. All provide a combination of classroom education and clinical training at VUMC facilities.

Institutionally-accredited Certificate Programs

Several programs are institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). Applicants to these programs are advanced undergraduates or already have a bachelor’s degree. Please visit our separate website here to learn more about these programs, including the estimated cost of attendance.

Workforce Programs

These non-institutionally accredited programs directly support VUMC's needs for qualified allied health professionals in a variety of health care settings. CPiAH works closely with VUMC Human Resources to recruit students, who have a variety of educational backgrounds.

For many workforce programs, VUMC covers tuition costs, and students receive an hourly wage with the expectation that upon program completion, they commit to a full-time, relevant position at VUMC and continue in that role for one year.
