Experience & Current Projects
I am a software engineer with over 15 years of experience professionally developing software with extensive experience writing applications in C++, Ruby, and Python. During my 9 years with Vanderbilt Center for Human Genetics Research, I helped design and develop several tools for human genetics research, including Biofilter, GenomeSIMLA, Paris and MVtest. I also have worked extensively with databases of genetic and demographic data. I am familiar with many programs for next generation sequencing (NGS) data processing and analysis. I wrote and maintain Advanced Sequence Automated Pipeline (ASAP), a program for automated NGS data processing.
