Hello and welcome to the GYN Surgery service line located on the 4th floor of VUH. We provide procedural care for females from late adolescence through geriatrics. Our team provides comprehensive gynecologic surgical care that encompasses oncology, minimally invasive procedures, reproductive endocrinology, and limited obstetrical care. We are the nations foremost provider for intrauterine repair of fetal myelomeningocele. There are three operating suites housed in this unit as well as eight pre-operative area beds used for admitting patients. 4 South also houses five functional post-operative care beds. Our patients are ambulatory, short stay observations, and may require inpatient care post major gynecologic surgical procedures.
