Dr. Lin joined our surgical faculty in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery after owning and operating her own private practice in Lebanon and Nashville, TN. She also served as an associate at a private practice in Fond du Lac, WI.

Dr. Lin received the Quintessence Awards in Restorative Dentistry, and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honors Society, honor during her fellowship.

Dr. Lin’s current research focuses on hypotensive anesthesia during orthognathic surgery and diced cartilage grafts for revision rhinoplasty. Her research articles have recently been accepted and published in the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Histology and Long-term Stability of Diced Cartilage Graft for Revision Rhinoplasty in a Cleft Patient and Diced Cartilage Graft for Revision Rhinoplasty in a 64-Year Old Cleft Patient: A Case Report.  Also appearing in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Effects of hypotensive anesthesia on reducing intraoperative blood loss, duration of operation and quality of surgical field during orthognathic surgery - a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Dr. Lin is board certified through the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Tennessee Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the AOCMF of North America, and Vanderbilt’s Canby Robinson Society

Education

Dr. Lin received her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Biochemistry, Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, NY .  She earned her D.D.S. from the New York University College of Dentistry, New York, NY, and her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, TN, General Surgery Internship. Lin joined the faculty at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Craniofacial Surgery, Taiwan as a visiting scholar.  Lin also served a Craniofacial Surgical Fellowship  at the Department of Plastic Reconstructive and Craniofacial Surgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan.
