Fluoroquinolone resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis is conferred by DNA gyrase mutations, but not all fluoroquinolone-resistant M. tuberculosis isolates have mutations detected. The optimal allele frequency threshold to identify resistance-conferring mutations by whole-genome sequencing is unknown.
