Identification of New Targets to Prevent Transmission of Insect-Borne Disease

My project focuses on the discovery and development of pharmacological tools to investigate the potential of  ion channels as targets of insecticides and/or insect repellents. In the face of worldwide resistance to most known insecticides, these new targets may provide a basis to "reset" the clock on insecticide resistance.
