HIV Services in Mozambique supported by CDC/PEPFAR

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) facilitates the expansion and coordination of global health training, service, and research initiatives with a commitment to improve health services and outcomes in resource limited settings. Vanderbilt established Friends in Global Health (FGH), a non-profit organization, to serve as the implementing organization in Mozambique. Since 2007, FGH has been registered with the Mozambican government for the implementation of CDC/PEPFAR-funded HIV care and treatment programs. The FGH team works closely with Ministry of Health officials at national, provincial, and district levels to provide technical assistance for the implementation of sustainable models of community and facility-based services that cover the full spectrum of the HIV response.
