The Cognition and Movement Disorders Group, led by Dr. Daniel Claassen, investigates the motor and behavioral effects of degenerative brain disorders including Parkinson’s disease and Huntington’s disease. We apply functional neuroimaging methods, such as PET and functional MRI, to examine how brain activity differs between healthy and neurodegenerative people, and how medication alters neuro-psychological traits.
