Maribeth Nicolson, MD, MPH

Dr. Nicholson is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her research focuses on the epidemiology and treatment of pediatric C. difficile infections, including the use of fecal microbiota transplantation. She conducts NIH-funded translational studies evaluating C. difficile in children with inflammatory bowel disease and is the co-PI on a multi-center consortium evaluating the use of FMT in pediatric patients with C. difficile infection. She currently serves as the Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (NASGPHAN) FMT Special Interest Group co-chair, related to her expertise in the field.
