Emily Morris, MD
Emily Morris, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. She completed her medical school training at University of Florida College of Medicine in 2012, her pediatric residency training at University of Michigan in 2015, her fellowship training at Vanderbilt in 2018 and stayed as clinical faculty after completion of fellowship. She joined the core faculty at the Center of Biomedical Ethics and Society in 2025.
Dr. Morris’s clinical and research interests include studying perinatal counseling, complex decision making in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and parental and ethical decision-making in the prenatal and NICU environment. She serves as an associate medical director of the Vanderbilt NICU, neonatal ECMO faculty member, and the neonatal director of the Fetal Center at Vanderbilt (FCAV) where she works with maternal fetal medicine physicians and other subspecialties to provide advance counseling and care for high-risk pregnant mothers and neonates.
