Conference on Social Justice and Psychology

Faculty and Students at Vanderbilt University and the Vanderbilt University Medical Center are cordially invited to attend a Conference on Social Justice and Psychology, sponsored by The Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology, to be held on Friday March 1 through Sunday March 3, 2019 at the Holiday Inn Nashville-Vanderbilt at 2613 West End Avenue.

Scholars and those engaged in clinical and social practice will be coming from across the country to present original research and engage with colleagues. The Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology (STPP) welcomes attendance and participation in the conference from those in the humanities, social sciences, and clinical sciences working in the Nashville area. 

The conference is offering single-day registration rates and onsite registration, which will make it especially easy for local residents to attend. Please share this with colleagues who may be interested in attending all or a portion of the conference.

The Society for Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology is a division of the American Psychological Association. It explores fundamental philosophical and historical dimensions of the study of human psychology. STPP aims to facilitate informed discussion and critical examination of psychological theories and disciplinary knowledge from a diverse and interdisciplinary point of view. It also aims to foster an understanding of psychology’s larger role in society, culture, and political life as a whole.
