The Student Health Center operates primarily on an appointment system, so appointments are always recommended and encouraged. However, in order to ensure that all urgent matters can be handled on a same-day basis, the SHC also offers an Acute Care Clinic. Similar to an Emergency Room, the waits tend to be longer, as patients are seen on a first come, first serve basis after being assessed by a nurse for seriousness of illness.
