Allison Kurtz

Allison is from Athens, Georgia and earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. Allison joined Vanderbilt’s QCB program in 2025 and joined the Skaar lab in 2026. Her research focuses on understanding zinc chaperones and heme bound proteins in Staphylococcus aureus.
