About Us

southeastThe Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center (SE AETC) is an eight state consortium that includes Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. SE AETC is part of a nationwide network of 8 regional AETCs founded in 1987 by the Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) to train healthcare providers and disseminate rapidly changing information about HIV/AIDS.

The Southeast AIDS Education & Training Center (SE AETC) is located at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in coordination with the Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic (VCCC) in Nashville, TN - one of the largest comprehensive HIV clinics in the country.

Mission

The Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center provides custom-designed training and technical assistance to support, motivate and educate healthcare clinicians enabling them to provide quality HIV care.

We inspire providers to:

  • Improve the HIV Care Continuum
  • Increase patient retention in care
  • Produce positive patient outcomes
  • Promote networking and capacity building
  • AETC Regional Training Centers.
