Nights, Evenings, Weekends (NEW)

picHello and welcome to my unit!

I’m Belinda Coakley, MSA, BSN, RN, CNOR,  Manager of the Nights, Evenings, and Weekend team, (N/E/W) in the Adult Operating Room. We are located on the third floor of Vanderbilt University Hospital.

The environment on our unit is fast paced, flexible, team-oriented with a focus on providing excellent surgical care to accommodate all our patient population.

We care for Adult patients who are being treated for surgical needs including emergent, urgent, or scheduled.  Our patients are unique because we care for all types of patients who require surgical intervention.

One of the perks of working on my unit is the variety of our patients' needs. Teamwork is paramount for our unit. Our team members include RNs, CSTs, and both RN and ST First Assists.

Our nurses are successful because they believe our patient’s safety comes first and they believe in multi-disciplinary collaborative teamwork.  We encourage professional growth.

If you have any questions about my unit, please email me at belinda.j.coakley@vumc.org  or visit Work at Vanderbilt Health to explore open nursing positions.
