Rev. Lisa C. Hermann, MDiv, BCC
Rev. Lisa C. Hermann, MDiv, BCC (She/Her/Hers) is ordained by the Presbyterian Church (USA) as a Minister of the Word and Sacrament, and is a minister member of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee. She moved to Tennessee from Madison, Wisconsin in 2020, but was born and raised in Charleston, S.C. Lisa has also lived in several other states and countries of Guatemala and Peru. Her first vocation was as a High School History Teacher and Soccer Coach.
Lisa is a graduate of Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. She completed her CPE internship at University of Louisville Hospital in the summer of 2007 and her CPE Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Winston-Salem, N.C.) in 2009-2010. While at WFBMC Lisa was awarded the Richard K. Young Award for Distinguished Development in Ministry Formation by the CPE Faculty in 2010.
Lisa has served as a hospital chaplain in both adult and pediatric settings and now serves as a staff chaplain at Monroe Carrell. She is a board certified chaplain (APC/BCCi); speaks fluent Spanish, loves spiritual care for patients, families and staff; preaching and teaching, and is a novice puppeteer. She occasionally uses her “Felt Friends” to help care for the spiritual and emotional needs of patients and families.
